The Kogi International Carnival will not only celebrate Kogi’s history but will also be a feast for the senses. The carnival will be divided into four cities and four arenas, each featuring an immersive experience of the state’s unique aesthetics and traditions. Visitors will witness the vibrant costumes of 10,000 youth performers and 1,000 children in colorful attire, all showcasing the intricate designs and artistry that represent Kogi’s cultural diversity. The festival will bring together Kogi’s rich music, dance, and art, with performances by 2,000 calisthenics artists and cultural troupes from across the state.
Each city will offer a distinctive experience, with traditional music, dance performances, and exhibitions of local crafts, food, and art. Visitors will have the opportunity to savor Kogi’s unique cuisine, from pounded yam and egusi soup to local delicacies that reflect the state’s agricultural bounty.
